I recently found the link to the talk last year at Pinta Latin American Art Fair, on Latin American Photography:
“With a continent of such a size and a diaspora so rich and diverse, does the title “Latin American Photography” still carry meaning?”
I am really happy to find this footage, as it was quite a important moment. The talk started with Sue Steward, Dafna Talmor, Shoair Mavililan and myself, but halfway through the discussion, a few photographers in the audience including Marcio Scavone and Marcelo Brodsky, stepped up to the stage for a very lively conversation.
The video comes in three parts:
Moderator: Sue Steward. Writer, broadster and curator of Pinta Photo
Dafna Talmor. Artist, lecturer, curator of exhibitions
Shoair Mavililan. Co-Curator of Latin American Art & Photography, Tate Modern
Rodrigo Orrantia. Art Historian and Photography Curator.
